«Los filósofos presocráticos» is the philosophy essay by G. S. Kirk, J. E. Raven and M. Schofield, published by Gredos in paperback (702 pages).
Study of the first Greek thinkers before Socrates: it brings together the surviving fragments of authors such as Thales, Anaximander, Heraclitus, Parmenides or Democritus and frames them in a historical account with critical commentary and a selection of texts. The work allows readers to follow the transition from myth to reason and the formation of the first cosmologies and ontologies, based on the testimonies and their interpretation.
Second expanded edition, published in 2003. It is volume 63 of the Varios Gredos collection.
A reference work for students, academics and readers interested in ancient philosophy.
