Immerse yourself in ancient Sumer with 'The Wizards of Sumer', a novel by Michel Pagel that will transport you to 3000 BC. Enerech and his brother Alad possess the gift of magic, a power that allows them to defy the gods and achieve immortality. However, their visions of this divine gift are opposite: Enerech sees it as the path to absolute power, while Alad does not know how to enjoy it. Enerech's ambition leads him to conspire and try to assassinate his own brother, unleashing an epic struggle for control and survival.
Six hundred years later, Enerech, now high priest of Uruk, is about to become king thanks to his intrigues. But an omen disturbs him, making him suspect that Alad may not have disappeared completely. Will Enerech be able to maintain his power and avoid his brother's revenge, or will he succumb to the dark forces lurking in the shadows of Sumer?
