«Los números primos» is Enrique Gracián's popular science essay on number theory, published by National Geographic in hardcover (143 pages, in Spanish).
Most numbers follow simple rules, but primes appear chaotically and are essential in arithmetic. Great mathematicians such as Euclides, Fermat, Euler, Gauss, Riemann or Ramanujan tried to find a formula that predicted their sequence without succeeding.
It belongs to the collection El mundo es matemático by National Geographic / RBA. The subtitle of the work is «Un largo camino al infinito».
For curious readers and mathematics enthusiasts who want to understand the historical fascination with prime numbers and their central role in the discipline.
