Mapa mudo is a collection of poems by the Mexican writer Jorge Valdés Díaz-Vélez, published in 2011 by the José Manuel Lara Foundation. This book was awarded the 1st Ibero-American Poetry Prize Hermanos Machado. The work is divided into four sections: Extranjería, Sol poniente, Cartas portulanas and Archipiélago, continuing the poetic line that the author has developed throughout his career. The poems explore themes such as life, reality and the poet's desires, using both regular metrics and classical forms, but maintaining a clarity and emotion that invite reflection.
