«Martes de Carnaval» is the collection of esperpentos by Ramón del Valle-Inclán, published by Espasa-Calpe in paperback (244 pages, in Spanish).
The volume brings together three esperpentos by Ramón del Valle-Inclán: Las galas del difunto, Los cuernos de don Friolera and La hija del capitán. In them the author distorts with irony and caricature the settings and characters of the Spain of his time, alternating the military, the popular and the administrative in a grotesque and satirical tone.
The edition belongs to the Austral Collection of Espasa-Calpe and appears on the cover as an extra volume, number 1337.
For readers of theater and twentieth-century Spanish literature interested in the aesthetics of the esperpento.
