«Maternidades» is Bru Rovira's photography book, published by Editorial Graó in paperback (84 pages, in Spanish).
The series brings together photographs taken since 2001 on different continents portraying mothers and children marked by poverty, marginalization, violence or illness. The images show the harshness of these stories and their emotion; some were commented on by schoolchildren, who enriched them with their feelings and stories.
Published in 2004. Part of the Micro-macro Referencias collection (no. 4) and includes a foreword by Maruja Torres.
May appeal to documentary photography enthusiasts and educators working with images in the classroom.
