«Mi corazón al desnudo» is the posthumous intimate diary of Charles Baudelaire, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardcover (108 pages, in Spanish).
The book gathers Baudelaire's last intimate notes, in which he reflects on art, morality and the passage of time. His sentences, sharp and of poetic intensity, describe a lucid and disillusioned consciousness: of bad taste, of ennui and of his own era. It reveals the author of Les Fleurs du mal in his most personal vein.
Charles Baudelaire (1821-1867); the complete publication of these diaries dates to around 1917. This Spanish edition is from 2005.
For readers seeking Baudelaire's intimate thought; Claudel, Nietzsche, Bloy and Proust saw in these pages a key to his work.
Charles-Pierre Baudelaire was a French poet, essayist, translator and art critic. His poems are described as exhibiting mastery of rhythm and rhyme, containing an exoticism inherited from the Romantics, and are based on observations of real life.
