«Nitra» is the science fiction novel by Carlos Herranz, published by Editorial Adarve in paperback (144 pages, in Spanish).
Ashley and Don, on their honeymoon, suffer an accident and are left lost in the desert. After two days without food and almost no water, they find a hangar among the dunes to take shelter in. A female voice offers them help in exchange for something; although it saves their lives, they are left at the mercy of its demands. It combines science fiction with an escape-room feel.
Published in Spain in 2021 as a first edition, it is part of the Biblioteca de Narrativa Breve collection.
For science fiction readers who prefer short novels and unsettling atmospheres.
