«No me cuentes tu vida» is a contemporary novel by Luis García Montero, published by Editorial Planeta in hardcover (464 pages, in Spanish).
Ramón, twenty-three years old, falls in love with Mariana, the young Romanian woman who works for his family. His father Juan, upon discovering it, decides to write his own story to seek in the past a point of connection with the present. Three generations intersect: postwar exile, transition, and crisis, in a tribute to memory and love.
Second narrative work by Luis García Montero after «Mañana no será lo que Dios quiera», published in 2012 in the Autores Españoles e Iberoamericanos collection.
For readers of contemporary Spanish fiction, especially those who appreciate stories about memory and dialogue between generations.
