«Ojos de perro azul» is the short story collection by Gabriel García Márquez, published by Bruguera in the Libro Amigo collection in paperback (155 pages, in Spanish).
The stories in this book were written and published between 1947 and 1955, and anticipate the narrative world the author would later develop. Its pages feature tropical atmospheres and states of consciousness that distort reality, as in «Monólogo de Isabel viendo llover en Macondo», his first celebrated story, which foreshadows the setting of later works.
It belongs to Bruguera's Libro Amigo collection, number 1502/722. The 1983 edition, in paperback, has 155 pages in Spanish.
Recommended for readers interested in the short fiction of the Nobel Prize in Literature laureate and in the origins of magical realism.

Gabriel José García Márquez was a Colombian writer and journalist, known affectionately as Gabo or Gabito throughout Latin America. Considered one of the most significant authors of the 20th century, particularly in the Spanish language, he was awarded the 1972 Neustadt International Prize for Literature and the 1982 Nobel Prize in Literature. He pursued a self-directed education that resulted in leaving law school for a career in journalism. From early on he showed no inhibitions in his criticism of Colombian and foreign politics. In 1958, he married Mercedes Barcha Pardo; they had two sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo.
