«Palabras Silenciosas: Colección 1» is the children's picture book by Peter Hertzberg, published by Blurb in hardcover (216 pages, in Spanish).
Four stories are told only through illustrations, with no text: a lonely creature in the desert, a drop of water seeking its place, a grey being discovering its shine, and a match girl lighting a flame. They address solitude, longing and the beauty of small things, and let the viewer create the narrative.
Collection 1: brings together «La Criatura sin Nombre», «La Historia de una Gota de Agua», «El Girrón» and «La Pequeña Cerillera»; one tale is inspired by Andersen and another by Topelius.
Aimed at a children's and young adult audience, though its visual reading makes it accessible to any age, even to those who share little or no language.
