«Problemas y juegos con la matemática» is Henri Camous's popular mathematics book, published by GEDISA in paperback (184 pages, in Spanish).
With examples on the nature of numbers, the Pythagorean theorem, calculations with circles and statistics, it proposes a playful approach to mathematics: each problem admits several resolution strategies and memorizing a rule is not enough. Its demonstrations in plain language invite readers to question evidence and to investigate.
This work is subtitled «Juegos educativos» and originally appeared in 1989.
Aimed at high school students, professionals and fans of logic games and mathematical reasoning.
