«Recetarius» is Rius's book of graphic humor and political satire, published by Grijalbo in paperback (141 pages, in Spanish).
Rius offers a hundred satirical proposals addressing Mexico's political and social problems. Through caricatures, dialogues and ironic texts, he turns each «recipe» into a critique of power and the country's public life. The humorous tone invites reflection on Mexico's future.
The work originally appeared in 2004; the 2012 edition features a bilingual subtitle (Spanish/English).
A work for those who enjoy political satire and graphic humor, with a particular interest in Mexican reality and Rius's career.
Spanish educationist and writer (1837-1912)
