«Saladino. El unificador del Islam» is the historical novel by Geneviève Chauvel, published by Edhasa in hardcover (384 pages, in Spanish).
Geneviève Chauvel, a great connoisseur of the Arab world, reconstructs the life of Saladin, the leader who unified Islam, and dismantles the negative view that the West has spread of his figure. The work thus reveals the reverse side of the Crusades and the historical context surrounding this leader.
Published in 1994, it is part of the Narrativas Históricas collection. The Spanish translation is by Juan José del Solar Barcelli and Rolando Cossío.
An option for readers of historical fiction and medieval history, especially those interested in the Crusades and the figure of Saladin.
