«Self-Sufficient Housing» is the architecture book by Vicente Guallart, Lucas Cappelli and Willy Müller, published by Editorial Actar in paperback.
A selection of projects from the 1st IAAC Advanced Architecture Contest, which proposed designing a self-sufficient dwelling with an ecological orientation. The proposals conceive the house as an almost independent organism that exchanges resources with its surroundings, an update of the modern concept of the «machine for living».
Published in 2006; 384 pages, in English. The volume was nominated for the RIBA 2007 International Book Awards.
Aimed at architecture students and professionals interested in ecological design and self-sufficient housing.
