«Ser em Palavras» is a poetry collection by Paula Nunes dos Santos, published by Chiado Books in paperback (92 pages, in Portuguese).
The collection moves between the light of a skylight and the figure of a child paralyzed by fear and hope. The poetic voice seeks to reconnect with time and with itself through images of silence, a contained scream, the motionless body and an imaginary flight towards rivers and oceans. It is brief, intimate and symbolic poetry, written in Portuguese.
The author was born in Lisbon, holds a degree in International Relations from the Technical University of Lisbon and began writing poetry at the age of nine. «Ser em Palavras» was published on May 1, 2015.
For readers of poetry in Portuguese who appreciate short texts with an intimate and symbolic tone, focused on memory and childhood.
