With the outbreak of the Clone Wars, the arid planet of Ord Cestus is on the brink of economic collapse as the Republic bans the production of its combat droids. However, the Trade Federation offers a lucrative contract for new bio-droids, sophisticated techno-hybrid units capable of defeating Jedi. By order of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, the Republic sends a group of emissaries, led by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, to convince the government of Ord Cestus to abandon its dealings with the Confederacy. If diplomacy fails, the Republic is prepared to launch a full-scale attack.
