«Trilogía sucia de La Habana» is the short story collection by Pedro Juan Gutiérrez, published by Editorial Anagrama in paperback (368 pages, in Spanish).
The narrator, a skeptical Habanero weary of a path with no destination, portrays the marginality of Havana in direct language. Autobiographical in background, it brings together three books of stories —Anclado en tierra de nadie, Nada que hacer and Sabor a mí— as a novel of sex, hunger, politics, eroticism, disillusion, rum and humor.
It belongs to Pedro Juan Gutiérrez's Centro Habana Cycle and to number 587 of Anagrama's Compactos collection; fourth edition.
For readers of contemporary fiction and dirty realism interested in Cuban literature and marginal characters.
Juan Pedro Gutiérrez Lanas, commonly known as either Juampi Gutiérrez or J. P. Gutiérrez, is a former Argentine-Spanish professional basketball player. He played at the power forward and center positions.
