In charming London, Kit Butler, a sought-after bachelor, is pressured by his family to marry. Determined to avoid an arranged marriage by his father, Kit needs to find a fiancée quickly. That's when Miss Lauren Edgeworth comes into the picture. Lauren, after being abandoned at the altar, decides never to marry again. The encounter between Kit and Lauren unleashes an intense passion, leading them to devise a secret plan. Lauren agrees to participate in the charade in exchange for a summer full of romance and adventure, with the condition of breaking the engagement at the end, thus warding off future suitors and leaving them both free. However, everything changes when Kit falls in love with Lauren, wishing that the summer would last forever. Now, Kit must use all his seductive weapons to convince Lauren to give him her heart forever.
