Synopsis of Un capitán de quince años I
A finales del siglo XIX, el barco ballenero Pilgrim zarpa con una tripulación escasa desde Nueva Zelanda hacia California, regresando después de una mala temporada de pesca. Durante el viaje, los tripulantes se enfrentan a varias sorpresas: un barco naufragado y un accidente que obliga al grumete Dick Sand, de tan solo quince años, a tomar el mando de la nave con su limitada experiencia.
