«Visigodos» is the historical essay by José Javier Esparza Torres, published by La Esfera de los Libros in hardcover (336 pages, in Spanish).
The essay narrates the journey of the Visigoths from northern Europe to Hispania, where they founded the first state in Spain. It shows their relationship with Rome as enemies, allies, and heirs, and debunks their barbaric image: they could explain eclipses, knew Aristotle, and built cities like Recópolis.
Fourth edition, published on October 16, 2018 and part of the Historia collection. The work includes bibliographic references.
For readers interested in the history of Spain and the transition from Antiquity to the Middle Ages.
