«Voces de Chernóbil: Crónica del futuro» is the historical essay by Svetlana Alexiévich, published by Debate in hardcover (408 pages, in Spanish).
It gathers the testimonies of the survivors of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster and reconstructs the human tragedy that followed the explosion. The work's polyphonic writing shows the physical and emotional aftermath of the catastrophe and rescues the stories that the Soviet regime silenced.
The book, translated from Russian, belongs to the Historia collection. Svetlana Alexiévich won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2015.
For readers interested in contemporary history and non-fiction chronicles, recommended reading from age 16.
