Edda Bresciani was an Italian Egyptologist.

Edda Bresciani was a prominent Italian Egyptologist and archaeologist born in Lucca.

Her academic work focused on the in-depth study of Egyptian history and antiquities.

Throughout her prolific career, she published a total of 25 specialized works.

She is particularly noted for her excavation work at Kom Madi during 1977 and 1978.

Beyond her research, she dedicated much of her life to university teaching and Coptology.
