«20 nuits et un jour de pluie» is Lam Lê's 2006 drama movie, starring Natalia Wörner and Eric Nguyen, on DVD.
A German woman living in Java meets a Vietnamese man based in Paris and introduces him to the landscapes and sensuality of her adopted island. Over twenty rainy nights, desire and the memory of Asia intertwine in an erotic encounter between two bodies and two identities.
The DVD edition from Éditions Montparnasse runs 82 minutes and includes one disc, region 2. The audio is in French, in Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1.
The CNC classifies it as universal, and its sensual tone makes it suitable for those seeking romantic dramas with a cultural backdrop.
