Inspired by Kipling's poem, "The Vampire," A Fool There Was catapulted Theda Bara into super-stardom. The story follows wealthy lawyer John Schuyler, who is appointed as a special envoy to Great Britain. On board, he is waylaid by the beautiful and sensuous "Vampire," who quickly seduces the diplomat, leading him into a downward spiral of depravity and self-destruction. This DVD edition includes the 1915 classic film and the bonus short "The Sultan's Wife" (1917).
