«Atrocious» is a 2010 movie by Fernando Barreda Luna, starring Cristian Valencia, Clara Moraleda and Chus Pereiro, on DVD.
Two siblings spend their holidays in a country house and record their investigations into a local urban legend. The tapes show how their research in the woods gradually goes wrong until it becomes a nightmare. The film is presented as found footage, which makes the supernatural seem close and believable.
Running time: 82 min. Picture 2.35:1, Dolby Digital 5.0 sound in Spanish and English, Spanish subtitles. Region 2. Not recommended for persons under 18.
A proposal for those seeking genre cinema with an urban legend atmosphere and festival recognition.
