«Banda Aparte» is the 1964 film by Jean-Luc Godard, starring Anna Karina, Sami Frey and Claude Brasseur, on DVD.
Odile, a naive young woman, joins Arthur and Franz, two friends who involve her in a plan to steal money. Godard moves the Hollywood thriller plot to a grey, peripheral Paris to focus on the isolation of three misfits. The narrative breaks with silences and dances, and includes a race through the Louvre.
Original title: Bande à part. The Sherlock Films DVD includes audio in Spanish and French (Dolby Digital 2.0), Spanish subtitles, 1.33:1 black-and-white image, 92 minutes and region 2.
For cinephiles interested in the Godard of the sixties and in works that question classical narrative.
