«Battle for Haditha» is Nick Broomfield's 2007 film, starring Elliot Ruiz, Yasmine Hanani and Danny Martinez, on DVD.
The film reconstructs the 2005 Haditha massacre (Iraq): after a marine is killed in an attack on a US convoy, troops kill 24 Iraqi civilians. It combines a documentary-style staging with non-professional actors and improvised dialogue to show the harshness of the conflict.
Special two-disc edition in PAL format (region 2), with English audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS. Running time: 93 minutes. Rating: 15+.
For those seeking a war drama based on real events with a documentary approach.
