Rookie cop Megan Turner (Jamie Lee Curtis) makes a fatal error on her first day on the job when she shoots a supermarket robber, but the man's gun mysteriously disappears. Turner is cleared of any wrongdoing, but soon she's being stalked by a disturbed commodities trader (Ron Silver) who saw the shooting and has become obsessed with her. When the missing gun turns up at a series of murders, all with Turner's name scratched on the bullets, she must find the killer before she loses her job -- and her life.
