Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson

Synopsis of Buffalo Bill and the Indians, or Sitting Bull's History Lesson

«Buffalo Bill y los indios» is the 1976 Robert Altman movie, starring Paul Newman, Burt Lancaster and Geraldine Chaplin, on DVD.

Buffalo Bill, now a businessman running his own Wild West show, brings Sioux chief Sitting Bull into the act. The Indian leader's presence dismantles the legend the show sells, and Robert Altman turns the cultural clash into a satire on how America invents its own history.

Supporting cast: Harvey Keitel, Joel Grey, Kevin McCarthy, Alex Green and Robert DoQui; music by Richard Baskin. Spanish-language cover.

For fans of Robert Altman, of westerns critical of Wild West mythology, and of satirical 1970s cinema.
