Synopsis of Bye Bye Birdie

«Bye Bye Birdie» is the 1963 movie by George Sidney, starring Janet Leigh, Dick Van Dyke and Ann-Margret, on DVD.

Musical comedy satirizing the Elvis hysteria of the 1950s. When a rock star is drafted into the army, his manager and girlfriend plot a televised farewell in which a teenager will give him a kiss, unleashing chaos in a town. Based on the Broadway musical, it combines romantic mix-ups and musical numbers.

Aimed at those who enjoy classic musicals and family cinema.
