Synopsis of Delicatessen
En una Francia postapocalíptica, la población se divide en dos clases: los que comen y los que son comidos. Un payaso de circo en paro llega a un edificio habitado por personajes singulares, cuyo dueño, Clapet, regenta también la carnicería. Louison, el payaso, se encarga del mantenimiento del edificio a cambio de vivienda y manutención. Allí vive Julie, la hija del carnicero, que se enamora de Louison. Clapet planea un futuro para Louison con el que Julie no está de acuerdo, por lo que solicita ayuda a los trogloditas vegetarianos que viven en el subsuelo.
