Dogville is a drama film directed by Lars von Trier and starring Nicole Kidman. The story takes place in a small town in the Rocky Mountains during the Great Depression, where a fugitive named Grace seeks refuge. The townspeople, initially hospitable, begin to demand more and more from Grace in exchange for their protection, leading her to a critical situation. The film explores themes of morality, power, and human nature in an oppressive and claustrophobic environment.
