«Dolor y Gloria» is the drama movie by Pedro Almodóvar (2019), starring Antonio Banderas, Penélope Cruz and Leonardo Sbaraglia, on Blu-ray.
The film follows Salvador Mallo, a film director in his twilight who reconnects with his past: childhood in Paterna in the 1960s, first desire, an adult love in 1980s Madrid and the pain of a breakup. Writing as therapy, cinema and the emptiness of not being able to shoot articulate a reflection on creation and life.
The film, released by Sony Pictures and produced by El Deseo, includes the original Spanish version with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 audio; it won 7 Goyas and Antonio Banderas was awarded at Cannes.
Drama movie for adult audiences, especially followers of Pedro Almodóvar and Spanish cinema; not recommended for viewers under 16.
