«Don» is the movie by Abolfazl Jalili (2014), starring Farhad Bahrenmand and Farzaneh Halili, on DVD.
Farhad, a nine-year-old Iranian boy, has no birth certificate because his drug-addicted father and illiterate mother never registered him. Without official identity, his situation resembles that of a war refugee: he cannot attend school, can hardly get legal work, and must fend for himself while trying to learn to read and write.
90-minute drama feature film. Original version in Persian with Spanish subtitles. Single-disc edition distributed by La casa del cine para todos S.L.
Suitable for all audiences, recommended for those who want to approach the reality of refugee childhood in Iran.
