«Duel» is the 1971 Steven Spielberg film, starring Dennis Weaver, on DVD.
David Mann, a motorist driving across California, is harassed by an anonymous truck driver he has overtaken. What starts as a nuisance —being overtaken and braked again and again— turns into an increasingly violent chase along a desert road. Mann must find a way to escape a rival whose face he never sees.
Running time: 85 minutes; special edition from Universal Pictures.
Cult film for fans of suspense and chase thrillers, with the relentless tension that characterizes early Spielberg.
