Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) are a pair of hapless losers on a cross-country road trip to return a briefcase full of cash to its beautiful owner. Unbeknownst to them, the case contains ransom money for the woman's husband, and they find themselves pursued by kidnappers while stumbling across a series of oddballs along the way.
