«El Bola» is the movie by Achero Mañas (2000), starring Juan José Ballesta, Pablo Galán and Manuel Morón, on DVD.
El Bola, a twelve-year-old boy, lives in a violent home and keeps that reality secret, which makes it hard for him to relate to other children. The arrival of a new classmate at school reveals friendship and a very different family to him; that contrast gives him the push he needs to accept and face his own life.
