«El Gran Silencio» is the western movie by Sergio Corbucci (1968), starring Jean-Louis Trintignant and Klaus Kinski, on DVD.
Set in the late 19th century on the border between Mexico and the United States, the film follows Silencio, a mute gunslinger who confronts the bounty hunters who take advantage of a heavy snowfall to kill with impunity the fugitives coming down from the mountains. A widow hires him to avenge the death of her husband at the hands of the most bloodthirsty of those hunters.
