In Iquitos, in the early eighties, the consul of a nameless country awaits his daughter Anna, whom he has not seen since she was a child. Her arrival coincides with the harassment of a diplomat from the military dictatorships who investigates whether he is protecting a deserter pilot. Over the rubber city, isolated in the Peruvian Amazon, hangs an atmosphere of decay and threat.
