«El mar y el tiempo» is the Spanish movie by Fernando Fernán Gómez (1989), starring Fernando Fernán Gómez, Rafaela Aparicio and José Soriano, on DVD.
Jesús returns to Spain in the spring of 1968 after going into exile in Argentina, but the family he expects is no longer the one he left: they all carry the grief of a war they did not win. He wants to start over, though he feels he no longer belongs anywhere, but to the other shore of the sea.
