«El secuestro de Michel Houellebecq» is the movie by Guillaume Nicloux (2014), starring Michel Houellebecq and Mathieu Nicourt, on DVD.
In September 2011, during the promotional tour for his novel «El mapa y el territorio», Michel Houellebecq disappears. Wild rumors circulate: an Al-Qaeda kidnapping, an extraterrestrial abduction, or his death. The comedy shows what happened: three unorthodox captors prefer to chat about literature and share meals rather than harm the writer.
Original version in French and Polish 5.1 with Spanish subtitles; region 2, PAL. The movie won the award for best screenplay and the special jury prize at the Berlin Film Festival.
For those interested in the figure of Michel Houellebecq and in a French comedy of absurd and intellectual humor.
