«Elephant» is the movie by Gus Van Sant (2003) on DVD.
The film observes an ordinary day at an American high school and follows several students through their routines and encounters while a threat looms over them. Partly inspired by the Columbine tragedy, it employs a slow, contemplative style to show the banality and disconnection of adolescence.
Intended for viewers seeking slow, reflective cinema about adolescence and school violence.
