«En un lugar de África» is the 2001 movie by Caroline Link, starring Lea Kurka, Merab Ninidze and Sidede Onyulo, on DVD.
The Jewish Redlich family emigrates to Kenya in 1938, fleeing Nazi Germany; the father, Walter, works as a manager on an isolated farm, while his wife Jettel, of bourgeois origin, barely adapts and their daughter Regina flourishes in the African environment. Uprootedness tests the marriage; when the war ends, they must choose between returning to Germany or staying in Africa.
Special two-disc DVD edition. Running time: 140 minutes. Dubbed in Spanish (Dolby Digital 5.1). Region 2. Not recommended for children under 12.
