Synopsis of Godsend

For Jessie and Paul Duncan, the sudden loss of their eight-year-old son, Adam, is an insurmountable shock. Dr. Wells then offers them the impossible: to erase the tragedy by creating a clone of the child. Desperate, the young couple accepts, despite the illegality of the project. To keep the secret, they abandon their old life and move near the clinic where the doctor conducts his genetic research. The venture is a success, and the new Adam grows up happy until his eighth birthday.
