«Good Bye Lenin!» is the German movie by Wolfgang Becker (2003), starring Daniel Brühl, Katrin Saß and Chulpan Khamatova, on VHS.
A German mother falls into a coma shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall and wakes up eight months later, when the GDR no longer exists. To spare her a fatal shock, her son pretends the country is still alive and rebuilds around her the signs of the old everyday life, a protective lie increasingly hard to sustain.
