«Good Morning, Vietnam» is the movie by Barry Levinson (1987), starring Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker and Bruno Kirby, on DVD.
In 1965, during the Vietnam War, radio broadcaster Adrian Cronauer is assigned to Saigon for a morning show aimed at the troops. His freewheeling language and musical choices clash with military protocol, but win over the soldiers and open a window onto local life. A satire that combines comedy and drama.
Audio in English and Spanish (Dolby Digital 5.1); subtitles in Spanish, English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic and Portuguese. Running time: 116 minutes. Widescreen format 1.85:1.
Movie for those seeking dramatic comedy with a wartime and satirical backdrop, with the charisma of Robin Williams.
