After the tragic death of her five-year-old son, successful thriller writer Rachel Carlson (Demi Moore) moves to a remote cottage in the Scottish Highlands, hoping to find the peace and inspiration to write again. However, loneliness and paranoia soon take hold as she experiences unsettling visions. Rachel is slowly drawn into a reality of madness and supernatural events, and she must fight to save her own life in this Hitchcockian-style supernatural thriller.
