«I Cento Passi» is the movie by Marco Tullio Giordana (2000), starring Luigi Lo Cascio, Paolo Briguglia and Tony Sperandeo, on DVD.
The title refers to the hundred steps that separated, in the Sicilian town of Cinisi, the house of Peppino Impastato from that of the mafia boss Tano Badalamenti. The young activist challenges the power of the local mafia, takes part in protests and founds a radio station that ridicules the boss, while his father tries to silence him and his mother and brother support him.
