«I'm Not There» is Todd Haynes's biographical movie (2007), starring Cate Blanchett, Christian Bale and Heath Ledger, on DVD.
The film traces a portrait of Bob Dylan through interwoven stories in which different performers embody facets of the musician: a young fugitive, an androgynous rock star, a folk idol and an artist on the road. Each segment, shot with its own language, evokes the 1960s and 1970s with Dylan's music as the connecting thread.
Distributed by DeAPlaneta in 2010 as a special two-disc edition. Cate Blanchett was nominated for the Oscar and won the Golden Globe for her performance. Suitable for all audiences.
A title for those interested in the figure of Bob Dylan and in musical biographies told from multiple perspectives.
